Twilight [Updated! Videos Added!]

Twilight Movie PosterTwilight… where to start? Well i went to see the movie when it was released and I really enjoyed it – this got me interested in reading the books.

Happily we found the first book in a charity shop purely by chance, and when I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. James could see me getting sucked into the story more and more, so he bought the next two books on Amazon – the fourth isn’t in paperback yet. I got so involved with the story that I read the first book within 4 days… and I’m not usually a fast reader. All the books took me under a week to read, except the last book Breaking Dawn (which we also picked up in the same charity shop, but in hardback), which is my least favourite of the series.

Twilight New Moon
Eclipse Breaking Dawn

It’s basically a love story between Bella & Edward, who she meets when she moves from her hometown of Phoenix to a small town in Washington called Forks to live with her Dad. She falls head-over-heels in love with Edward, and discovers that he’s a vampire.

In the movie, Edward is played by Robert Pattinson known for his role as Cedric Digory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix. I think he’s found his role in life as he seems to make girls and women alike swoon at the very sight of him!

Bella is played by Kristen Stewart known for her roles in Panic Room , Zathura and a bit part in Jumper… and she’s one of the most beautiful and talented actors I’ve seen in ages.

The relationship between the two was wonderful from start to finish, as they have a great on-screen chemistry – as a result I was completely lost in the story. Not to mention the location of the movie all the lush greens and browns of the trees i liked it so much I Googled Forks to see what it was like and it looks just like the movie, and as I’d pictured it!!

The movie’s soundtrack was awesome too and I have been listening to it ever since! Great tracks like Muse – Supermassive Blackhole
Eyes on Fire – Blue Foundation
The Black Ghosts – full moon
Iron and Wine – Flightless Bird, American Mouth
Debussy – Claire de lune
Paramore – Decode

I’d recommend reading the series when you’re able, and watching the movie too. It’ll be available on DVD and Blu Ray from April 6th.

EDIT:

Today a couple of new videos have surfaced from the American DVD release of the movie, so I thought I’d update this post to include them… hope you enjoy!
